There are three types of adoption plans are available: open, semi-open, and closed. You can choose any of these plans. If you’d like, our team can help you create a custom adoption plan for your baby. 

Help Choosing The Right Family 

You have a say in who raises your child. We show you profiles of carefully screened and kind families for our birth mothers. You can even meet with adoptive parents if your adoption plan allows that. In that case, we’ll arrange the meeting. 

Get Financial And Practical Support 

You are entitled to financial support up to six months post-adoption. We will help you get financial support during pregnancy if needed. 

Post Adoption Counseling 

Post delivery will be a tough time. We can understand that. Our adoption counselor will be with you to create a post-adoption plan. This will help you move forward and provide the right support you need after adoption.

It has come to our attention that the Hulu series Good American Family contains inaccurate information regarding Adoption by Shepherd Care (ASC) and the adoption of Natalia. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the facts.

Contrary to what is presented in the documentary, ASC did not initiate any communication or have any involvement with Mr. or Mrs. Barnett in connection to Natalia’s adoption. The legal adoption process for Natalia was completed in the state of New Hampshire, where the original adoptive family resided, and was facilitated through a New Hampshire-based agency—not Adoption by Shepherd Care.

For those seeking further clarification, we encourage you to watch The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, Season 2, Episode 1, which clearly states that Adoption by Shepherd Care was not the agency responsible for facilitating this adoption.

We want to express our respect for all agencies and professionals engaged in this vital work. However, it is essential that accurate information is shared with the public and that the correct entities are acknowledged for their role in any adoption process.
