Adoption by Shepherd Care, a private Christian adoption agency in Florida, is hiring an Expectant/ Birthmother Counselor in our Hollywood, FL area office.
Applicants should have a bachelors or master’s degree in social work (preferred), counseling, psychology, or a related field. This position assists expectant and birthparents as they make an adoption plan. Duties include counseling clients through the adoption process, assisting with getting social services and medical appointments, housing, making a hospital plan, documentation, legal paperwork, consents, and post-adoption support. Applicants must have a professional, engaging demeanor, and the ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds. Applicants must have a heart for ministry and be able to balance the relational aspect of the position as well as the details of documentation and case management. Adoption by Shepherd Care is a strong team; applicants must be self-motivated and team players. Driving is required. This position requires you to be on call and available some evenings and weekends.
