Do You Need Unplanned Pregnancy Help?

Seeing those two pink lines can be shocking at first. If you weren’t planning a pregnancy, you might be feeling afraid and uncertain about what to do next. Although it may feel like your world has stopped turning, it’s important to know that unplanned pregnancy help is available to you. You have options, and you don’t have to go through all alone.

Talk To Someone You Trust

An unplanned pregnancy can bring a lot of emotions, questions, and fears. It’s not an easy situation to walk through, and it’s important to have support as you process this information and consider your options. Think of a friend or family member who you feel safe around. They might be a good person to support you as you process this news.

If you don’t feel you have a trustworthy person in your life, a member of our team would be happy to talk with you. Adoptions by Shepherd Care provides women with unplanned pregnancy help, free-of-charge. We can answer any questions you have, and everything we discuss will be confidential.

Consider Each Possibility

It’s difficult to know which decision is right for you and your unborn child. While some birth mothers would like to raise the child themselves, many women feel they are not in a place in life to do so. Some women find it helpful to read through testimonials of what the adoption process looked like for other women in the same situation. It’s helpful to understand more of the process and see how birth mothers feel years after the adoption. For women seeking unplanned pregnancy help, this can ease the nerves, offer more information, and provide clarity.

Make an Adoption Plan

If you feel that adoption is the best option for you and your unborn child, it might be time to make an adoption plan. There are some decisions ahead of you, but you don’t have to make these choices alone. You have specific rights as a birth mother, and you can decide if you’d like an open or semi-open adoption or a closed adoption. It’s normal to have a lot of questions about the adoption process. Therefore, it’s important to work with an adoption agency in Florida that will provide the unplanned pregnancy help you need, and answer every question you have about adoption.

Choose an Adoptive Family

Many women want to choose the adoptive family for their unborn child. There are many factors for you to consider as you learn about awaiting families. Every birth mother has different values, and it’s important to know what you are comfortable with. For example, some birth mothers want the child to be adopted into a family with siblings. Others would prefer the child is adopted into a small family. As a birth mother, it’s important to consider your specific values and priorities so that you can feel at peace with the adoptive family you choose.

Official Statement from
Adoption by Shepherd Care

It has come to our attention that the Hulu series Good American Family contains inaccurate information regarding Adoption by Shepherd Care (ASC) and the adoption of Natalia. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the facts.

Contrary to what is presented in the documentary, ASC did not initiate any communication or have any involvement with Mr. or Mrs. Barnett in connection to Natalia’s adoption. The legal adoption process for Natalia was completed in the state of New Hampshire, where the original adoptive family resided, and was facilitated through a New Hampshire-based agency—not Adoption by Shepherd Care.

For those seeking further clarification, we encourage you to watch The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, Season 2, Episode 1, which clearly states that Adoption by Shepherd Care was not the agency responsible for facilitating this adoption.

We want to express our respect for all agencies and professionals engaged in this vital work. However, it is essential that accurate information is shared with the public and that the correct entities are acknowledged for their role in any adoption process.

At Adoption by Shepherd Care, we remain steadfast in our mission to place children in safe, loving, and permanent homes. We uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethical practice, and compassion for the children and families we serve.

We respectfully request that the media and members of the public refrain from further spreading misinformation related to this matter. While we understand the interest in this case, we also urge respect for the privacy and dignity of all individuals involved. Adoption is a deeply personal and emotional journey that must be approached with sensitivity and integrity.

Adoption by Shepherd Care will continue its unwavering commitment to finding loving and permanent placements for children, guided by the principles of honesty, compassion, and respect.
